If It’s Not Easy, It’s Not God!

Have had several people go off this week about how the Christian life isn’t easy. I can understand where they are coming from. Jesus promised that we would have trials, troubles, and persecutions in this world.
Yet, at the same time, JESUS SAID,
“MY YOKE IS EASY AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT!”

THIS IS IMPORTANT, DEAR FRIENDS!
IT IS VERY COMMON TODAY THAT PEOPLE’S FOCUS IS ON THE HARDSHIPS AND STRUGGLES, and so it can seem like this is the healthy place to leave our focus. There are even many scriptures that we can mis-interpret to fit our conclusion.

But, if God saving the world, liberating us, giving us the fullness of His Presence, setting us free, and putting us in life-giving union with Himself doesn’t make our lives easier and filled with overcoming joy & bliss, then it must be just another load of hogwash!

Now, I understand that someone saying all of life is meant to be blissful and easy can seem shallow… if not understood fully. We ARE NOT saying that you will never go through a challenge, or a difficult circumstance in this world! What we are saying is that you have been included in a scandal! You have a greater unchanging circumstance within you that supercedes it all!

Every person who has ever lived has been given the life-giving, love-overflowing, ecstatic joy producing, patient, humble, gentle, kind, compassionate, forgiving Glory of the presence of Jesus forever united with us! AND, He Himself is manifesting through us, healing and overcoming circumstances to give us victory to reign in life.

AND…even when we don’t see the type of manifestation that we are wanting to see, He is more than enough to give us rich bliss in the midst of the most challenging times. He never leaves us or forsakes us. Just having Him is enough to make every day easy like Sunday morning!

Also, as a good Father He never desired or planned for us to suffer. I know that there are so many types of suffering theologies that with good intentions try to get us to accept pain, hardship, sickness, suffering, and death as all part of the plan. I just don’t see this in the heart of Jesus for us! Even Jesus’ own death on the cross was at the hands of men, not the hands of the Father! Men have caused pain, God has healed it!

Jesus didn’t come so that you could suffer!
He came that you might have life to the full!
You may have trials and extremely challenging circumstances in this life. It doesn’t mean you have failed, or that God is teaching you something. It just means that humans are still waking up!

Don’t let your focus become on the hardships! Jesus is right there in the midst of it all! He’s releasing Glory that is beyond compare!
His love is always near. His joy is always abundant!

“For I know with certainty that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be manifested in us.” – Romans 8:18

His yoke is always easy.
If it feels difficult, that’s ok, no condemnation, just leave that other yoke behind! Shift your focus. Lean back into Him!

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” – Matt. 11:28-30
