The Name of Jesus?

Do you ever feel hesitant to use the name Jesus when sharing life with people? I feel like there are usually two reasons for this:

1. The name has been so abused and misrepresented to the detriment and pain of people around the world. Therefore, many have felt it more helpful to introduce people to the heart and Spirit of Jesus, before using the literal name or word “Jesus Christ.”

2. A second reason is that you still may not be convinced of the real saving, healing, and life giving power that is found in Jesus Christ alone.

I don’t judge or criticize anyone for where they’re at, or the language that you may currently be using. Maybe you use the name, maybe you don’t. You’re loved and I’m proud of who you are no matter what!
There are sometimes very good reasons to not use the name in language! The spirit of Jesus is the big deal! It’s about His heart!

At the same time, maybe ask yourself…

Do I feel uncomfortable using the name Jesus when I am alone?
Am I excited about the real Life that only comes through Jesus?
Have I seen how great is His salvation in authenticity and reality?
Do I love communing with the person of Jesus specifically?
Do I see Jesus as the full and complete Word, The revelation of God?

OR, Am I kind of just excited about a general concept of God that I have made up?
Is my revelation of God based on some other foundation?
Am I doubtful about the completeness of Jesus?
Am I hesitant about his saving, healing, or life giving power?

If you find yourself not so sure about Jesus, that’s ok!
However, I encourage you to remain so open to him. Look again at Him! Acknowledge where you are at…then get ready to move forward!

Wherever you may be in life, there is so much to receive from the Person of Jesus Christ! So much love, so much reality, so much bliss, so much real wholeness! Continue to look unto Him! Continue to hear Him, living with you! Acknowledge His person and name daily in your personal life, and watch what happens!!

Acts 4:12 – “And there is no salvation in any other man, for there is no other name under Heaven given to the children of men by which it is necessary to receive life.”

Col. 2:2 – My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Rom. 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of The Gospel, because it is the power of God for the life of all who believe in it, whether of The Judeans first, or of the Aramaeans.

  1. the peace that passes all understanding is available via any meditational practice. there are over 5000 religions in the world. there is no single redeemer. all are innocent and all are blessed. we all contain a womb for noumenon to fill, if we will be but quiet in the absence of thought, quick to forgive, and earnest to dance well in the emptiness of others. i have enjoyed your vibe and thank you for your giving nature. on this topic, however, i feel it is important to be clear. there is nothing wrong with finding the peace through the stories of Christianity, but there is nothing available there that is not available in any earnest endeavor to transcend the illusions of culture and experience one’s true nature: perfectly innocent without need of redemption and perfectly reflective of all that is. thank you.
