Privacy stuff
What we collect
When you reach out: Our contact form asks for your name, email address, message, and an optional phone number. We receive and store that information so we can respond.
When you donate: Donations are handled by PayPal. PayPal may send us details connected to the gift, such as your name, email address, donation amount, and transaction information. We do not receive or store your full card or bank-account details. PayPal handles those under its own privacy policy.
When you join an email list: We collect the email address and any other details you choose to provide. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in an email.
When you visit: Like most websites, we use a few cookies and may receive basic technical information such as your browser, device type, IP address, and the pages you visit. Cookies help the site function, remember useful settings, prevent spam, and understand whether things are working properly. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may not work quite as smoothly.
What we do with it
We use information to:
- reply to messages and prayer or ministry inquiries;
- process and keep records of donations;
- send updates you asked to receive;
- operate, protect, and improve the website; and
- meet legal, accounting, and nonprofit reporting obligations.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We may share only what’s needed with trusted services that help us run the site, send email, prevent spam, or process donations. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or if it’s necessary to protect people, the ministry, or the site.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as it is reasonably useful for the reason it was collected, and as long as nonprofit, tax, accounting, or legal rules require. Contact messages can be deleted when they’re no longer needed. Donation records may need to stick around longer.
Keeping things safe
We use reasonable safeguards, but no website, inbox, or internet connection is perfectly secure. Please don’t send highly sensitive personal, medical, financial, or confidential information through the contact form.
Your choices
You can ask what personal information we have about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep. You can also unsubscribe from ministry emails at any time.
A note about kids
Our ministry supports children, but this website is not designed to collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can take care of it.
Terms stuff
Be cool
Please use this site for lawful, respectful purposes. Don’t try to break it, overload it, sneak into restricted areas, spread harmful code, scrape personal information, or use the site to bother or harm anyone.
Our content
Unless we say otherwise, the words, artwork, photos, videos, branding, and other original material on this site belong to The Firehouse Projects or are used with permission. You’re welcome to share links and brief quotes with credit. Please ask before copying, republishing, selling, or heavily reusing our work.
Donations and payments
Donations are voluntary and are processed by PayPal, so PayPal’s terms also apply. The Fire House Projects Co. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, and donations are generally tax deductible where allowed by law. We can provide donation records, but we can’t give personal tax advice. If you make a donation by mistake, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help.
Outside links
We link to services and sites we don’t control, including PayPal, email platforms, social networks, podcasts, and video sites. Their content, availability, security, cookies, and privacy practices are their responsibility, so give their policies a look when it matters.
No big promises
We work to keep the site accurate, useful, and available, but it is provided “as is.” We can’t promise every page will always be current, error-free, or online. Site content is for general informational and ministry purposes and is not professional medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice.
To the extent allowed by law, The Firehouse Projects and the people who serve with it aren’t responsible for indirect or unexpected losses resulting from use of this site or a third-party service linked from it.
Changes
The site and the world both change. We may update these terms and privacy notes from time to time, and we’ll change the date near the top when we do. Continuing to use the site after an update means the new version applies.
